Summary

Once a well-off entrepreneur, Byeon Moo-Jin faced a series of failed business ventures during his marriage to Geum Ae-Yeon (Kim Ji-Soo). His repeated failures put a strain on their family, leading to his eventual estrangement and divorce. Geum Ae-Yeon, now struggling as a single mother, works part-time at a large store to support her two children: Byeon Mi-Rae (Son Na-Eun), who has risen to become the store’s MD and main breadwinner, and Byeon Hyun-Jae (Yoon San-Ha), whose rebellious nature often causes trouble.

Years later, Byeon Moo-Jin makes a dramatic return as the new owner of the apartment building where his ex-family lives. He hopes to rekindle his relationship with Geum Ae-Yeon and attempts to charm her back, but Mi-Rae firmly opposes his efforts, while Hyun-Jae is more receptive to his father’s overtures.

Amidst these family tensions, Mi-Rae begins a romance with Nam Tae-Pyeong (Minho), a former national taekwondo athlete who now works as a security guard at her store. Tae-Pyeong keeps his true identity and his connection to the store’s ownership hidden, adding another layer of complexity to their budding relationship.
